Dextra's excape!

Viper pricked his little black ears as he heard growling on the other side of the bush. He growled back but quietly, he crouched down to get ready to pounce. He walked forward abit feeling his little sister grab onto his tail playfully. He sighed and turned around to smile at her "Not right now" He whispered. He turned back sniffing the air smelling a male and female wolf very close by.

Visions watched her older brother growl and crouch down, she grabbed his tail as he walked forward towards the bush. She pantered as he turned around and told her something she didnt listen to, She dropped his tail and looked into the bushes as she heard the growl too.

Fox smiled then laughed lightly, "Yes! You will soon get the hang of it again!" she said, then started to tear off pieces of the deer, she sighed and lay down. Suddenly hearing the russle in the bushes behind her and Dextra growl softly, she pinned her ears and returned a growl to the answering one. She turned around so she could see the bushes now.

Dextra heard the answering growl and Fox's growl. After that his curiosity got the better of him since it had been years since he had last been curios of something, and he took a few steps forward. His ears raised and his tail gave a wag as he saw four wolf eyes peeking through the bushes. He lowered his head down low but kept his ears up as he barked, "Hello?"

Visions panted happily as she heard the wolf speak, she jumped out yapping happily at Fox and Dextra but stopped when Viper growled at her. She lowered her tail and head and looked at Dextra.

Viper stopped growling when he heard the wolf speak, he looked at Visions who was panting happily but was too slow to stop her from jumping out of the bushes. He jumped out after her, grabbing her tail softly he growled at her. He paused when he noticed 2 wolves infront of him, he dropped her tail and cleared his throat "Sorry, shes my youngest sister" he spoke clearly in a strong voice.

Fox pricked her ears curious as she watched Dextra speak. She then saw a young wolf jump out of the bushes, Fox pricked her ears immediately, but she got a fright as another one jumped out grabbing the tail of the young one in front. Fox smiled as the male wolf told them it was his youngest sister. "Nice to meet you! I'm Fox!" she said, wagging her tail hopping that DExtra would say his name.

Dextra jumped back when the pup came out, and yipped when the secound wolf jumped out. He waited for the larger wolf to speak, then Fox to finish. Then Dextra spoke. "Well, Hi. I'm Dextra." Looking around, he added. "What are you guys doing around here?" Dextra quickly turned and looked behind him as he heard humans approuching. "I think they're back, Fox!"

Viper pricked his ears at the word 'Humans' he growled "They were chasing us earlier. By the way Im Viper and this here is Visions" he added. He looked around "Is there any cover around where we can hide?" he asked softly.

Visions hid behind Viper as she heard 'Humans' she hated humans already and she was still young to understand. She looked at Fox and Dextra, she smiled slightly then looked in the way she heard a noise.

Fox growled as she heard Dextra mention humans. Her ears pinned tightly on her head, she turned and looked around sniffing the air too. "There is a deep cave further up here.. Follow me." she said, looking at them all, then bounding off in the direction she had said. Running through the bushes, dodging trees, going under low branches and much more, they soon arrived at the cave. "Hardly any one knows about this place. This will be safe for now." Fox said and waljked around in the cave then went into the back, no humans would know they were in here if they kept hidden.

Dextra followed the others from behind, dragging the biggest buckby the neck. On the bigger buck's back was the smaller one, which made it much harder to drag. But all Dextra thought was, 'I'm still hungry, and we didn't even eat much! Everyone was comfortably in the cave when he pulled up at the enterance. After dragging the bucks in he lied on the ground and started to puff wildly.

Viper followed Fox with Visions clung to his tail. When he got to the cave he walked in and lyed down wondering what to do next. He watched Dextra walk in with the bucks "Are you gonna eat all that?" he asked softly.

Visions clung onto Vipers tail the whole way, she lyed beside him in the cave. She watched Dextra and listened to Viper, she panted when he said that as she was hungry.

Fox smiled at Dextra as she saw him drag in the 2 bucks. "I'm so sorry, I totally forgot about the prey we had kill!" she said, adding a soft laugh then she walked over to him and nuzzled his neck in thanks before flopping to the ground and listened to Viper ask if they were going to eat all that. "Umm possibly, but probably not. Two deer are alot to eat. Would you and Vision like to acompany Dextra and I on our journey?" she asked, glancing at Dextra wondering if he would mind.

Dextra barked happily when Fox came over. When Viper asked, Dextra waited for Fox to answer, then he added, "Probably not. Feel free to eat." Then Dextra continued, "We are going to The Great Highlands. No one here knows about it, other than Fox and me." Dextra waged his tail slightly.

Viper pricked his ears as he heard Fox ask if he and Visions wanted to join them "Sure! Noone has ever asked me that before.....They just run away....Maybe I look too scary" he said looking worried. He slowly reached foward to eat.

Visions pounced over to the food once they said they could eat, she looked at the buck then took at huge bite out of it. She smiled at Dextra and Fox with flesh in her teeth.

Fox laughed quietly at Viper's comment about him being to scary, "Your fine!" she said with a warm smile, as she carried on eating, before Viper and Vision had disturbed them. Fox's ears twirled around as she heard the humans in the distance run past looking for the wolves which they couldn't find. The 4 wolves were well hidden in this cave at the back till it was safe enough to leave. "Dextra, shall we stay here for the night then leave in the morning?" she asked, finishing her mouth full before she spoke to him, as she lay on the ground in front of the smaller buck.

Dextra ate until he was full, which ment he ate alot of the deer. After he sat at the cave entrance, silent. When Fox asked him, Dextra replied, "Perhaps. After more food. It's hard to say when you'll get your next meal on the way to Sabernce."

Viper finished eatting, his tummy was full and he was getting tired. He yawned and layed down, put his head between his front paws and slowly closed his eyes.

Visions looked at Dextra then Fox, her eyes flickered to Viper as he slowly fell asleep. She yawned and looked at Viper and layed beside him, she curled up, looking at Fox until her eyelids slowly closed.

Fox finished eating soon after the others, she yawned happily as her tummy stuck out from being so full. She stood up and stretched and glanced at Dextra as he talked, "Okay, thats fine.." she replied and paddeds lowly over to where he was. She flicked her tail across the ground lazily as she sat next to Dextra, looking out at the great land that lay ahead of them. Night was coming in fast, the clouds were moving like lightning, shutting out the sun more and more, causing it to become rather dark. Fox sighed and stood up then turned around and padded to the back of the cave and lay down.

Dextra sighed and walked to the back of the cave and curled up with Fox. It took a long time, but, eventually, he fell alseep, as it started to rain hard outside.

Viper quietly started to snore, he dreamt of finally seeing his dead mother but back when she was alive. He whinned softly in his sleep.

Visions, now sleeping with her legs out, she dreamt of chasing a deer, her legs were running in her sleep.

Fox had her tail covering her nose, it was cold as the rain came down and the harsh cold wind blew in through the entrance of the cave. Waking the next morning, she shook her head, trying to wake herself up more. She looked around wondering where she was for a moment, before realizing she was out on her journey to the 'Great Highlands'. She smiled at the thought then glanced at Dextra, who was curled up asleep beside her. Fox yawned quietly then stood up, careful not to wake the others, then she walked to the entrance of the cave and looked out at the view. You wouldn't have even thought it had been raining last night, as it was as still as anything.

Dextra woke up not long after Fox. Silently he made his way to the opposite side of the cave. "Good morning," he wispered, sitting for a moment and taking in the morning's view. Then he stood and quitely trotted off to find a good breakfast for the upcoming jorney, dissapearing in the rising mist.

Viper's eye opened, he looked around with his one eye lazily. He slowly got up and stretched out with a big yawn. He waddled over to the entrance of the cave "Hello" he yawned again to Fox. He jumped as Visions jumped onto his back.

Visions awoke as soon as Viper walked to the enterence. She jumped up, stretch and yawned then charged towards Viper. She pounced high into the air and landed spat on Viper's back, she felt him jump under her. She giggled and slid down his side.

Fox was about to answer Dextra when he left, she looked after him with pricked ears and a flick of her fluffy/bushy tail, she then heard Viper say hello, Fox turned her head to see Visions leap onto Viper's back. She giggled quietly then looked at Viper. "Hey! Had a good sleep?!" she asked with a smile. She turned her head and looked back over at view, she threw her head back and howled long and loud, happily.

Dextra was finishing a small buck off when he heard Fox howl. In reply, he howled back, then jumped into a stream to wash off. Seconds after he emerged with a small trout in his jaws. Dextra placed it on an elk bull and pulled them back until the elk was outside the cave. "Hi guys!" he said, shaking himself and taking the trout in his jaws.

Viper nodded "You?" he asked, he watched Fox as she howled and pricked his ears as he heard Dextra how back. He sighed quietly and steared out into the bushes. He jumped slightly when he heard Visions howl. He looked at her with soft eyes "Thats cute Visions but you still need to learn to talk" he sighed again.

Visions stood beside Viper and Fox, she giggled as Fox howled. She threw her head back and let out a soft, small, cute howl. She giggled as she heard her howl as she never has had howled before. She smiled as Viper thought it was cute.
