Hoofprints in the Sand

Hoofprints in the Sand canters along the long yellow strip of sand, the clear blue water chases up to swim around her deeply set hooves as they push her forward, her canter is beautiful and even yet still as fast a a slow gallop. Her pace slows steadily and the stunning mare slows to a dreamy extended trot. Her hooves fly out infront of her before being planted firmly in the wet sand.

Cyber leapt over the gaint log, he galloped right over the sand flicking it up behind him. Cyber looked behind him seeing the humans still there racing after him, he turned back to see a mare running through the bright ocean's side, he neighed out telling her to run as he picked up his pace into a bolt widening his strides going faster and faster catching up to the mare while he humans still came after him.

Hoofprints whinnied without looking back, wondering why the horse was sounding urgent. Then she heard the shouts of the humans. She squeeled and kicked her hells up in a warning kick then as th estallion caught up she sped up her pace, her Thoroughbred qualities kicking in. Her strides were long and quick, she tore across the sand at a speed that made everything else around her blurred. She pinned her ears back and snorted, she had already been running for a while but she had enough stamina left for a chase.

Cyber watched the mare kick in and take off, he picked up his pace geting faster and faster catching up to Hoofprints. He looked around seeing everything a blurr as his qualities kicked in just like the mares but he could jump high, run fast and was very strong.

Hoofprints snorted and kept pace with Cyber and eyed off the stockmen chasing them, the beach was ending and the cliffs loomed over the sand. She looked around quickly before pushing Cyber towards the hidden path that tunneled through the cliff, shrubs grew over the entrance but she knew were it was. She led the way towards it, her pace never faultering. She hoped she got the exact place or it would hurt running into the limestone cliff face.

Cyber looked around scared as he didnt want to be caught by the mean humans as they were his old owners but were very mean to him, he still remembered and had wip scars over his body.He looked at Hoofprints puzzled as he wondered why they were heading for the cliff.

Hoofprints whinnied happily, she picked up her pace e faster and just before she hit the shrubs she gave a playfull, showy buck and jumped into the bush so she could clear the half a meter edge that came off the tunnel. Looking back with a few scratches on her chest, neck and legs, she hoped that Cyber wuld jump like she did to clear the small lip. Hoofprints slowed a few meters from the tunnel mouth and listened as her hooves clip-clopped on the stone floor. She turned and stood waiting fo the stallion.

Cyber steared in shock at where the mare had disapered, he skidded just before the bush and looked over where she went, he saw Hoofprints standing there waiting. Cyber looked behind him still the humans came but far enough for him to back up and jump the bush. He slowly backed up then took off into a gallop as so as he got to the bush he took a huge leap, clearing the bush and jumping over Hoofprints. He landed with a thud then looked at Hoofprints and grinned.

Hoofbeats let out a shrill whinney that echoed off the walls then she took of at a gentle canter through the tunnel. Her mane flew out like a banner and she pig rooted with joy.

Cyber cantered after her wondering where they were going to go. He smiled as he watched her pig root, he picked up pace making his steps bigger, he went past Hoofprints and smiled.

Hoofprints snorted and rolled her eyes at his showing off, she studied his frame and the way his muscles worked. He looked like a fine stud, maybe a National Show Horse. She picked up her pace as there was a fork in the tunnel ahead and she was turning at the smaller tunnel.

Cyber followed Hoofprints into the smaller tunnel, he picked up his pace again into a steady gallop, he slowed once he was past Hoofprints, he turned back and grinned then reared up playfully.

Hoofprints cantered steadily, this tunnel was longer than the other one and it would take a while before they reached the next fork that turned off into her home were they could hide from the humans. She smiled at Cybers playfulness and gave a little kick out and whinned softly, the sound was carried through the tunnel and echoed back to them.

Cyber listened carfully at the echos in the tunnel, he walked on through the tunnel wondering where the exit will be and how long will it take. His tail swished as he shook his head making his mane fly about. He really liked this new mare.

Hoofprints slowed, they were near her home now but she wanted to know more about this stallion first. "Im Hoofprints in the Sand, by the way" Hoofprints laughed, slowing to a walk so she could talk.

Cyber looked at her and smiled he nickered "im Cyber". He sniffed the wall beside him and snorted as the dust went up his nose, he looked back and grinned.

"Not long now," Hoofprints smiled sweetly. They approached another hidden turnoff that you wouldn't see if you weren't looking for it and Hoofprints walked through it. Darkness closed in on her. A few meters through the tunnel and it opened into a huge cavern that glowed with a brilliant white light, grass grew everywere and a clear river flowed through the cave then dissapeared under the rock. A breeze drifted through the cavern from somewere and even a tree grew underground. Hoofprints smiled proudly as she turned to look back at Cyber.

you should make 2 more horses to put in, a mare and stallion maybe.]

Cyber took off towards the opening, he neighed out in joy.He wondered if there were other horses here,he skidded to a stop as soon as he was at the entery, he looked around and saw afew horses.

Romeo looked up from grazing as he heard the neigh of the other horse,he looked over at the cave and saw Cyber come out, he smiled then carryed on grazing.

Simply looked around her, she was sure she heard a neigh, she nudged Romeos shoulder to ask him but saw Cyber as he came from the cave. She stood there stearing at him then looked at Romeo, she lowered her head to graze again.

Hoofprints snorted and shied away quickly when she spotted to horses, her muscles tensed and she pinned her ears back. Her eyes showed whites as she tossed up her head.

Cyber looked at Hoofprints confused "havnt you seen them before?" he asked. He looked back at the 2 young horses and smiled slighty.

Simply looked up scared as she heard Hoofprints snort, she walked behind Romeo for safety.

Romeo pinned his ears back and snorted as the mare did, he looked up and saw how angry she was, He looked at Simply then back at Hoofprints he knew he wouldnt win unless Cyber turned on her.

Hoofprints shook her head, a short quick movement that made her able to keep her eyes of the two new horses. She looked at the curiously, some of the shock of seeing them here in her secret cave had worn of and although the whites in her eyes remained she relaxed slightly.
Suddenly her heart lept and she tensed again, her eyes shifted quickly through her surroundings, seeking other horses.

Playboy emerged from the tall grass that hid him, his midnight black coat gleaming in the fake sun, he whinnied to Hoofprints and she whinnied back, a question in her tone. Playboy laughed and turned back to the tall grass and whickered softly and a golden mare emerged, her brillience lighting up the cavern.
Hoofprints whinnied in greeting.

Cyber looked at the 2 new horses that came out of the long grass, he nodded and nickered a hello. He looked back at Hoofprints and smiled.

Simply looked at the 2 that came out of the grass, she smiled then looked straight back at Hoofprints.

Romeo never took his eyes of Hoofprints to make sure she made no attack.

Hoofprints whinnied again and after looking around wearily Playboy and Karma trthe her to stand at her side.

Cyber looked at Hoofprints confused, before she was angry at the 2 young horses in the meadow now shes happy at the other 2 new comers.

Hoofprints looked at Cyber, "I know these two." She said, reading his confused expression. "Karma," She nodded to the golden filly on her left shoulder. "And Playboy." She nodded to the jet black colt on her right hand side.
Then she looked at the other two horses. "And who are you two?" She asked, her expression cool.
